Richmond Terrace is a 115 bed long term care home located in the heart of historic Amherstburg, part of a chain governed by Apans Health Services.

Richmond Terrace provides two short stay beds for community respite care. The remaining 113 beds are for long term care residents.

Statement of Purpose

Richmond Terrace was purchased by Mr. and Mrs. Norbert Schuller in December of 1985 and organized with the commitment of providing holistic care with emphasis on maintaining the quality of life for each and every resident.

In 2003 ownership of this facility changed to Andrew and Peter Schuller.
In 2007 ownership was changed to a Limited Company.

Care is provided in accordance with Ministry of Health regulations and services rendered to those qualifying for Long Term Care.

Our focus is a resident centered innovative health infrastructure that meets the needs of the residents, families, community, informal care givers, health care professionals, staff, volunteers and managers.

We shall provide a continuum of care by maintaining an ongoing liaison with Windsor/Essex Community Care Access Centre, hospitals in Windsor and the Windsor & Essex County Health Unit. Our ties with the community itself are maintained and enhanced by constant interaction with local community service clubs, schools, agencies, local businesses, volunteers and families of our residents.
